I’m new to this. Been looking for like this type of recipe keeper. Like the idea of importing recipes from wesite. Over the years have collected paper recipes from friends and family as well from magazine/newspaper. Wish there is way to have these all scanned into this type recipe keeper.
Thanks for your suggestion ! I’ll try to do something when I will find some time …
You need to add pintrest as a compatible site please!
I agree please add pintrest.
I have a lot of pictures attached on my recipes. I have tried to transfer my cookbook to another device via mcb file. After importing the mcb all attached pics are missing. Do you have a solution?
Could you check that the storage permission is authorized ?
THANK YOU!
Thank for your prompt response. I have a couple more questions for you.
1.Does the online account offer a merge option along with the sync feature?
2. Can a backup be copied and saved to another location other than cookbook directory for safekeeping? I want to have access to it at anytime. Can the backup copy be imported to a third device; and if so how?
3. Can you tell me step by step how to temporarily change the directory to be saved to?
Hi,
1. If you use the same My CookBook Online account on all your devices, it will merge the recipes.
2. You can copy your backup files from the My CookBook directory on your computer, or you can use our File Import/Export feature to export your recipes on your dropbox account. The easiest way to copy your recipes on a third devices it to use My CookBook Online, or dropbox : http://mycookbook-android.com/site/synchronize-my-cookbook-application-and-my-cookbook-online/ or http://mycookbook-android.com/site/tutorial-import-your-recipes-on-a-new-device/
3. The backup directory can be changed in the settings
This is C again. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Regarding my previous post – Merging two different backups -. I don’t have our want an online account.
Thanks
Is there a way to merge TWO DIFFERENT My Cookbook backups into one single file? I have the app both on my phone and tablet, each contains a backup with a different set of recipes. I want to merge all recipes into one single file so I can access them from both devices. I’m afraid to wipe out either backup if I try to import one or the other into either device.
Thanks,
C
Hi, you can’t merge two files. But you can import one backup on the other device.
Como podría exportar las recetas en un formato que me permitiera imprimirlas?
Hi Ana, you can share your recipe with the app and use another printing app like for example Cloud Print Plus https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pauloslf.cloudprint
Ana,
Can I take a picture of my favorites and add it to the file?
Hi, if you edit a recipe, you can take a picture and add it to your recipe
All my recipes are on my computer in Mastercook. I would like to now see my recipes directly in the kitchen on a tablet so I decided to give a try to your recipe software. My version of MasterCook stores the data in MX2 format. Although it is listed in the Compatible format in your importexport page, it is not deteted by My Cookbook import function.
Am I doing something wrong or your software does not import mx2 files?
Thanks
My CookBook import .mx2 files. Have you copied your file in the My CookBook backup directory ? You can find the path in the settings of the app
